You may believe you already eat healthy, but every restaurant adds ingredients you aren't aware of, such as highly processed, trans fat-laden vegetable oils that interfere with the fatty acid composition of your body's cells, way too much sugar and salt, and cheap toxic spices full of chemicals to make food taste better and get you hooked on. Yes, even foods that you would think are healthy, such as soups, salads, or vegetarian meals. They're not always what you think they are. It only gets worse when you consume frozen meals or fast food that are high in trans fats, sodium Nitrite, artificial food coloring, artificial flavors, high fructose corn syrup, aspartame, BHA & BHT, and other toxic ingredients. More than 70% of the salt in the average person's diet comes from processed and prepared foods.
My point is that even if you believe you made a healthy choice in a restaurant or supermarket, this isn't the case, most of the time!
That's why so many people believe they're starving themselves but never lose much weight or have the same health problems. Another concern is that easy to clean cook ware is mostly used in the preparation of restaurant food or prepared meals. We now know that many nonstick and teflon pans contain C8, also known as PFOA, which is harmful to both your health and the environment. C8 disrupts normal hormone function and lowers testosterone levels in men, according to a large body of research. It's also been linked to a number of cancers and birth defects.
I am convinced that cooking for yourself with whole food ingredients is the only way to live a healthy, fit life and look your best. You can only control your fuel if you control the quality of every ingredient in your food. So far, I believe everyone would agree right before the excuses "I don't have time to cook", "I don't know what to cook", and "It's too much to handle" begin.
